Started in 2016, the TriLeo Foundation was established to raise funds to support families affected by congenital heart defects.

Our Mission

TriLeo Foundation organizes and operates community events raising funds and awareness to support families affected by congenital heart defects.

 Vision

Currently we are focused on raising funds to support organizations in Pennsylvania who are engaged in research to solve and treat congenital heart disorders as well as support for families dealing with children diagnosed with CHDs.  We can imagine a day when our organization grows to provide direct support to families in Pennsylvania and beyond as well as funding our own research to better understand causes of CHDs an develop world class interventions.

History

As founders, Ryan DelBaggio and Doug Meyers, have experienced the challenge of children diagnosed with CHD first hand.  Ryan's son Leonidas and my son Tristan were both diagnosed with complex CHDs that required open heart surgical interventions.  Nothing can prepare you for the emotional stress, and the feeling of helplessness watching your child fight for their life.  Both Leonidas and Tristan were treated at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and we found the staff, and support network including the onsite Ronald McDonald house to be amazing, when faced with this situation you really cannot have too much support.  Which is why we decided to start the TriLeo (Tristan & Leo) Foundation.
